Volunteer as a Y Ambassador
Volunteerism is at the heart of the YMCA movement. The YMCA would not exist without the countless hours of dedication from its millions of volunteers world-wide and your local YMCA is no exception. The Keene Family YMCA has a Y Ambassadors program which encourages individuals to give themselves in areas of interest that they love. The more volunteers the YMCA has, the greater the quality and increased number of programs and opportunities that the Keene Family YMCA can offer. The Y Ambassadors program allows individuals to give back to their community, learn new skills, and enhance the lives of others, all while enriching their own lives. You can be a Y Ambassador. Member Services
The Y is seeking individuals to volunteer within the our membership services team. These positions include giving tours of our new Summit Road facility, answering phone inquiries and assisting with check-in procedures. We are looking for volunteers at all times of day from early morning (5am) till late at night (10pm), weekdays and weekends. Volunteer as little as 2 hours a week or as much as you would like. We are anticipating a busy winter in our new facility and we need your help. Please fill out a volunteer application.

- Child Care/ Child Watch
- Member Services: Welcome Center, tour guides, information services
- Fitness: Group exercise instructors, personal trainers, Wellness facility coverage
- Gymnastics: Coaches, instructors, assistants
- Youth Development: Coaches, supervision, activities coordination
- Aquatics: Lifeguards, water fitness instructors
- Active Older Adult Activities: Activities coordination
[Please note: These are volunteer opportunities that require an individuals commitment to the organization. Volunteers are a vital piece of the YMCA and are respected and treated as staff. These positions are not open to those seeking community service hours unless a formal commitment and agreement is made with the department director. The YMCA does not compensate its volunteers with payment or trade for services (memberships, etc.). The YMCA conducts background checks on volunteers.]
